Welcome to KJC Artworks

Since my early youth I have loved to draw. At first it was motorcycles and architecture that appealed the most until I saw the work of M.C. Escher, whose artwork still fascinates me to this day. After over 10 years of studying his grids, regular division of the plan and perspective, I am now searching for my own concepts and optical illusions, moving away from pictures dominated by straight lines and using geometric curves to produce images that are originaland unique.

Any artist will know that creation is the key to a HAPPY LIFE and I hope that people get as much pleasure from my work as I have in creating them. Art for Art's Sake!

UPDATE!

A justified criticism is an abundance of straight lines (due to technical influences) so my next piece of work will contain no straight lines at all. Its title is Dolphins. Using a logarithmic grid in reverse format that shall be erased when used leaving Dolphins that create a three-fold symmetrical pattern diminishing in size towards the centre and diminishing in size towards the edges of the picture.

No computers or photocopiers are required in its production and the minimum size of the Dolphins in the centre will be just 3mm in size (with the aid of glasses and magnifying glass!). I am confident that this picture will be 100% original and will be no more than 63 x 63 cm in size with a stunning visual effect.

UPDATE 6th MAY 2009
